Community Engagement:Huyixiang community members are forming a project team to propose a framework for educators to develop their skills and enhance teaching practice towards cognitive learning in immersive environments; the project team will conduct several studies in K12 schools factors that affect teachers' propensity to change their teaching practice.

Technological disruptions from new digital learning tools and Artificial intelligence have prompted increasing demand in the k12 education sector in chinato develop innovative immersive learning solutions, as in the field of Traditional Chinese Art education. Those learning solutions aim to enhance learners’ cognitive development for deeper perception and genuine understanding, which requires teachers’skills development for new pedagogies. This article presents a project of practice-based research aiming to develop and test an evaluation framework to assess teachers’performance in facilitating learner's cognitive development in the context of an Online Immersive Research-Led-Learning Environment, focusing on key areas like curriculum design, goals setting, managing process of learning, Feedback scheme, learning outcome assessment, classroom interaction, as well as teaching innovation in using various kinds of digital technologized learning. Key parameters for investigation include the role of language in human perception, communication, and behavior patterns in facilitating learners' cognitive development. Teachers could integrate linguistic insights and cognitive development to instill in students the importance of critical and creative thinking to become mindful citizens. The framework application can benefit from Learning Management Systems and Learning Analytics to evaluate and monitor teachers' skills in enhancing cognitive development in digitalized learning environments.
